We spent the past week in California. Most of our time was in San Diego with a day in Los Angeles and a couple of days at Yosemite National Park. San Diego was great (though overcast and a little cold), LA was unimpressive to say the least, and Yosemite was unbelievable and by far one of the most amazing places we have ever visited. There are a bunch of pictures on the flickr page if anyone is interested.

On the baby front...we have a real name not involving Georgia football players. Tyler Derek Cloer. He and Mk are both doing well, though he doesn't seem to be a huge fan of flying. The due date is September 10, but he is measuring big and we are thinking he may make an early appearance. We'll keep everyone updated this summer.

It's a Boy!!!

Sorry it's been awhile. Mk had her 20 week ultrasound today and we found out that we are having a boy. The baby is currently 11 ounces and the due date is still set for September 10th. I'll probably post pictures to our flickr page sometime in the near future of the ultrasound and of Mk. For now, enjoy a picture of his namesake, the original Fernando Velasco (#75).

Mk and I found out on New Year's Eve that we are having a baby sometime around early to mid-September. We had our first doctor's appointment today and everything is going well...it is 18mm long or about an inch, we got to watch the heartbeat which was really cool, and it has armbuds which will prove useful. The head is on the right side of the peanut and the torso is on the left.

We've decided on names...Fernando Velasco if it's a boy or Pineapple (pronounced like Penelope) if it's a girl.

We are extremely thankful that God has blessed us in this way at this point in our lives and excited about all that is to come!
